Institutional Research provides in-depth statistical data to state and federal agencies, and to internal and external constituents. We act as an institutional information resource for all units of the university, specializing in conducting research on national norms and statistics relevant to the college.
Institutional Research is a unit in the Data & Analytics branch of the Office of Strategic Initiatives & Analytics.
Institutional Research archives official data on a variety of topics, ranging from graduation rates to financial trends and grade distributions. Displayed below are the most commonly requested reports. Feel free to contact us should you have any questions regarding what other reporting may be available.
Student Profiles are published once a term reflecting: headcounts, demographic data, and year over year trends, at time of Census.
Fall Student Profile (Primary. Used for benchmarking, reporting to system, state and federal levels, unit funding.)
Spring Student Profile (Spring used primarily internally for benchmarking. Use fall census for official counts.)
The Official Retention and Graduation reports track the past ten years of First-time Freshman and Transfer Student Cohorts. The reports are updated following the IPEDS release schedule guidelines. (9 months after each data collection period closes.)

The Common Data Set (CDS) initiative is a collaborative effort among data providers in the higher education community and publishers as represented by the College Board, Peterson’s, and others. The combined goal of this collaboration is to improve the quality and accuracy of information provided to all involved in a student’s transition into higher education, as well as to reduce the reporting burden on data providers.

The Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System is a system of interrelated surveys conducted annually by the National Center for Education Statistics, a part of the Institute for Education Sciences within the United States Department of Education.
